Summary
"The Eagle" By Alfred Lord Tennyson
The poet is trying to say that the eagle holds onto a cliff with claws which look like "crooked" or deformed human hands. the eagle flies in the sky all by itself. the eagle is all surrounded by blue skies. The wrinkles on the sea are the waves seen from a very far distance in the sky by the eagles perspective. The waves are so small compared to the huge body of water that they crawl very slowly to the shore. The Eagle watches from it's mountains to the ground. It falls like thunderbolt to the ground for catching it's prey.
